Warm Weather Group Training Rides

Great opportunities for group training rides where triathletes can spend some time on their bikes with our awesome members to prepare for their race.

When:

Thursdays – 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
(April – August, Check the calendar for details on specific dates.)

Paces:

A = 20 + mph average
B = 18-20 mph average
C = 16-18 mph average
D = 14-16 mph average

Newbie rides are generally C rides and geared toward those new to cycling and without a lot of pace line experience. However, these are AVERAGES over the entire ride, the actual PACE for each ride can be a bit higher, with the A group pushing 20 to 22 mph at times.

Guidelines:

Helmets are mandatory for all group rides.
No rider shall wear earphones (iPods, cell phone ear buds, etc.) during the ride.
New riders should go with the C or D pace if uncertain about speed.
Riders should come prepared with the necessary tools to change a flat tire, a headlight and the cue sheet.
While riding in the group do not ride down on your aero bars.
